Text Box: The 95th (Rifle) Regiment of Foot will enliven your events with an exciting and interesting display of life with the 95th Rifles during the Napoleonic wars, at home and on campaign. . All demonstrations are performed by experienced re-enactors clothed and equipped authentically from the utensils they eat with to the clothes they wear. Watch as the 95th battle the French! Visit the ladies at tea in their elegant Regency gowns. Observe the drilling and training of one of Britain's most elite regiments!
We are a most versatile band of enthusiasts who spend many weekends throughout the year at events across the country entertaining the public, giving talks, supporting historic and corporate functions and generally providing that extra panache that makes the difference in a memorable event. We are a very flexible organisation and can provide anything from talks by individual members of the group (i.e. Officers, Ladies, Soldiers or Camp Followers) to a full days programme with group demonstrations and living history encampment or a full event with full regimental camp, whether under canvas or garrisoning your own historic site. As well as a Rifle Company we frequently field Artillery with both field guns and Congreve rocket launchers. By special arrangement we can also provide Cavalry. Among our recent events we have given historic talks to schools in Gloucestershire, Buckinghamshire, Yorkshire and Wiltshire. Provided living history to museums in Surrey, London, Hampshire and East Anglia. Provided training demonstrations and battles for English Heritage, The National Trust, the British Army and a number of private venues. And given that air of elegance to Regency events and Battle Proms across the country. We have also, in the last year, provided consultants to TV and other professional organizations who are staging specific projects such as Channel 4’s Time Team, launches for period dramas, books and authors and a number of military shows.
