The 95th Rifles

Battle Re-enactment & Living History Society

An introduction…

Welcome to 95thRifles.com! The 95th Rifles are a Battle Re-enactment and Living History Society based in the United Kingdom. We portray the lives of soldiers and camp followers during the Napoleonic Wars, from dramatic battles to period encampments. Our society is made up of volunteers from all walks of life who gather to portray this unique regiment at events both at home and overseas. Drawn by the social life, action packed battle re-enactments or simply a love for the history, each of us has something in common - we’re all in it for a damned good time! A little history...

Formed in 1800 as ‘The Experimental Corp of Riflemen’ the 95th were to fight in many a battle and build up such a reputation that they would become known as an elite regiment of the British Army. We re-enact from 1800 to 1815, covering the whole of the Peninsular War right up to the most decisive battle of all time which was to change the course of history forever, Waterloo.  (More History)
