Text Box: What do I do about accommodation at events?

The majority of the regiment camp in the period camp using authentic canvas period tents (obtainable for approximately £217 from a number of tent suppliers). Although this is the preferred method of accommodation within the regiment you are entirely open to the option of camping in the modern camp.
Members do not necessarily have to own their own period tents, the option of sharing with other members or using the regimental spares is also available though this is up to you to arrange after the first events.

It is also worth noting that though you may wish to stay in an authentic period tent the contents of your tent, such as your bed or any other personal kit, do not necessarily have to be authentic. Some like to lay out a bed of straw and live the minimalistic life of a Napoleonic soldier, others prefer the hot water bottle and air bed! The choice is yours.
