Frequently Asked Questions
Text Box: How many events are their in a season?

The regiment participates in around 15 - 20 events a year, which can comprise of anything from full battle re-enactments at home or abroad to small skirmish and living history displays. We also hold and attend a number of social events including the Napoleonic Association Ball, BBQ's, Paintball and our annual Christmas Dinner.

TV and Film opportunities appear occasionally (Recent credits include: Time Team, Longitude, Vanity Fair and Pride & Prejudice)

How much does the kit cost?

The average cost to fully kit out a rifleman is £1200. Nobody is expected to fork out that amount of money just like that! Initially you will only need to buy your basic uniform: tunic, trousers, shirt, shako, forage cap, leatherwork and shoes at approximately £350. The rest you collect as and when you can, this usually takes at least one full season, more often two.

What opportunities are their for Camp Followers?

There are many roles within the society for all different age groups and genders. We are always keen to portray a Living History rich show and as such do not focus solely on the rank and file. Some of our work involves Regency events and we have many characters within our society who play varied roles such as: A country gentleman and his lady, a surgeon, a priest… the opportunities are endless. We welcome couples, families and individuals to our society.
